De Gracia Architecture is a New York based eco-friendly architecture firm that specializes in townhouse and brownstone home renovations and new construction. We also take other residential and commercial projects of varying sizes.

As modern architects we are passionate about being observant designers when it comes to the renovation of townhouses and brownstones which make up so much of the urban fabric in the City of New York. Our approach is to conserve as much of the original interior and exterior historical detailing as is feasibly possible and determined within budget.  We feel that such an approach falls in line with our eco-friendly strategies that look towards the conservation of resources and energy, as well as adding to the charm and character of these homes.

THE INITIAL PROCESS

We aspire to transform your ideas into creative and realistic solutions.  Initially, over a scheduled telephone conversation, we will run through the basic information of your project, establishing an approximate size so that we are certain that we can help you. If this initial conversation is promising, we will set up a meeting to discuss what you (and your family) would desire and want to achieve. We call this a Needs and Options Consultation, where we will walk through your building or plot and talk about your own ideas. Often this is a time when we reveal ideas you might never have thought of.  We will provide you with a Report, outlining thoughts and strategies for the site, building planning, design, and prepare a preliminary budget and schedule.
