FRONT STREET DISTRICT RETAIL PROPERTIES
Originating as a gesture towards the revitalization of the downtown area of Hartford, CT, this 65,000 square foot commercial real estate development occupies two city blocks and is home to a number of retail businesses.
While the client called for a building shell with an open plan system equipped to house various commercial properties, we sought to design a building that would identify with the original historical context of the city. It was, also, important to define a building mass that would not be imposing on the urban fabric.
